Creative Fingers has been very busy since our sale. Fabricland donated two and a half bolts of diaper flannelette. This allowed us to make 196 diapers (that's 16 1/2 dozen diapers!!) and we were able to put together 49 layettes. Along with the layettes we sent 54 blankets and quilts. Altogether we packed eight very large boxes, six of which have already made their way to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief warehouse in Winnipeg, thanks to Mark and Butte Home Hardware. Thanks to you also for all your donations. As you continue to spring clean, please continue to remember us. We are always in need of jeans, sheets, mattress pads, fabric, slightly used face cloths, and baby clothes.
Our focus this next month is to work on quilts for CLWR. If you've ever wondered how we put them together, come and see. We meet Monday afternoon beginning at 1 and then stop for tea around 3. If you would like to read about where the quilts, We Care bags, and layettes go, check out the CLWR website. Look under the Get Involved tab and scroll down until you come to Making a We Care Quilt. Go to that site and scroll down until you come to Photos and Videos Gallery. Click on that and enjoy watching the moms with their layettes and the children with their We Care bags.
