Thanks to my husband Darcy who has been my encourager, support and stay for the past 40 years. We have two daughters and six beautiful grandchildren. Nothing better than being a grandma!
I grew up in a large family with 7 sisters in small town Alberta. Faith was always part of our lives—sometimes child-like faith, sometimes struggle and doubt and questioning, and at times a wandering away. Not a cradle-to-grave Lutheran, my journey of faith eventually led me to the Lutheran Church as an adult when I was able to hear the profound word of God’s grace, perhaps for the very first time.
Grace is God coming to us as a baby in a manger.
Grace is God coming to us in the day to day struggle of life in this world.
Grace is God coming to us in love, in Jesus, in the cross, in life.
God coming to us each and every day to say “I am with you, I am for you, I love you. You are mine!”
God’s call and my passion for the message of grace brought me to the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon at 45 years of age, and at 50 I was ordained. For 8 ½ years I served in a small town congregation; the last year and a half in shared ministry with a rural parish about an hour away. My call to Lethbridge and Good Shepherd began March 1/19, where it is my joy and privilege to work with all the many wonderful, loving, faithful people of God; and where I also hope to work with community organizations and inter-faith ministries. There is so much more to learn! So many places where God is at work! So many places of grace! Let’s discover them together!
May God’s grace and peace be with you this day and always!
